Positive Displacement Pumps

Precise and smooth fluid transfer of dense (high viscosity) products like honey, shampoo, cream, and tomato paste without disrupting their cellular structure.

Lobe (Rotor) Technology

Unlike centrifugal pumps that agitate and crush the fluid at high speed, positive displacement lobe pumps gently push the fluid by trapping it between special counter-rotating lobes (rotors). Thanks to this technology, particles in the product (fruit pieces, fibers, etc.) are not crushed; the quality and consistency of the fluid are 100% preserved as it is transferred to the next station.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a Lobe pump and a Centrifugal pump?

Centrifugal pumps transfer water by throwing it (fast) and cause cavitation in dense products. Lobe pumps operate volumetrically (positive); no matter how thick (viscous) the liquid is, it pushes it forward in equal amounts and without crushing the product.

Are lobe pumps washable (CIP)?

Absolutely. There are no dead volumes in the internal structure of lobe pumps. They can be made 100% sterile with high-pressure hot water and chemicals using CIP (clean-in-place) systems without being removed from the installation.
