In dairy processes, the slightest welding flaw or surface roughness can turn into a bacterial breeding ground. Welltech® milk storage tanks feature smooth mirror-polished surfaces and fully ovalized (no dead spots) welded joints to preserve the fluid's structure. In our mega storage projects reaching up to 150 tons capacity, high-density polyurethane insulation and roll-bond cooling jackets are used for facilities that do not want to break the +4°C cold chain.

Dairy Process FAQ

Why are agitators used in milk storage tanks?

The fat layer in raw milk resting for a long time rises to the surface and causes creaming. To preserve the homogeneity of the milk, very low-speed (approx. 20-30 rpm) paddle agitators that will not disrupt the milk's structure are placed inside the tank.

What exactly is the CIP (Clean-in-Place) System?

It is an automatic cleaning system performed using acid, caustic, and hot water through automatic valves, high-pressure pumps, and spray balls without human entry into the tank. It is indispensable for food safety in the dairy industry.
